Lexington Fire Dept. Firehouse #8

Engine (Squad) 8 is a 2006 Pierce Pumper.  E-8 is staffed with 4 FF/EMT per shift.  E-8 has a normal Engine Response district, performing all Engine Company operations for its 1st, 2nd or 3rd due districts.  E-8 is also 1 of 5 units in Special Operations Command/Technical Rescue (SOC/TR).  E-8's function when responding as a Squad Company is Rapid Intervention for 1/4 of the City and Rescue Technician for 1/2 of the city.  Responding to Structural, Rope, Water, Confined Space, Trench and Missing Person Rescues.
